Bio

Takumi Kurosawa explores the relationships between perception, technology, and the natural world through painting.

Working with images drawn from everyday life, he reconstructs them across different times, scales, and distances, producing shifts that unsettle habitual ways of seeing.

His works operate as hypotheses—attempts to grasp the disconnections between the body and its environment, and to navigate the vastness and opacity of the world.

Through layered processes of transformation and re-materialization, Kurosawa seeks to create situations in which viewers can reassemble fragments of the world, generating unforeseen connections and leaps in thought.
